Been here for a day, and my mom already thinks I hate her. Not too shabby for a day's work. Although it might be better if I had actually done any work whatsoever to achieve that. I was heading out to the Arnold house to hang out, since it's Garrett's birthday. As I was walking out my room to jump in the shower, Amanda was walking the other way, and since she's a smartass, gave her mom impression and just threw a bunch of questions at me, like so: "Where ya going? Who's gonna be there? Whatcha gonna do? Need anything?" As she started, my mom was walking down the hallway behind her, and I just gave her a little wry smile as I passed my sister to go into the bathroom. Bad idea, apparently. As soon as I did that, my mom went stoneface and wouldn't talk to me or my sister.

I just left the house as they were going out to dinner. I got home and my mom was in the living room and made a point of not looking at me and had her sadface on. I tried to talk to her about it, and just let her know how I felt about being home after living on my own for a while. I meant to talk to her about it before this happened, but Amanda had to go ahead and open her trap. She didn't seem to understand, know, or really care at all what I was saying. Just kind of sat there with dead eyes and just said she was upset because I hated her. Awesome. This should be a fun month or two.

In a completely unrelated, and awesome sidenote, I just saw a commercial for a product called Jingle Jugs. Imagine Billy the Big Mouth Bass, but instead of a dancing, singing fish...it's a wall-mounted, bouncing set of tits, playing a song called "Titties and Beer."

Damn, I love America.

At least she didn't disown you.
